AI and ML at the heart of Hyundai's Motional autonomous driving venture

Motional, Hyundai and Aptiv's autonomous driving joint venture, is launching a Level 4 robotaxi service in Las Vegas starting December 31, 2026, using an end-to-end machine learning system integrated into the IONIQ 5. The technology processes data from 30+ sensors through sensor fusion to enable safe autonomous operation and will operate through Uber's platform.
