Tesla's Unsupervised Robotaxi Fleet Expands Beyond Austin with Cybercab

Tesla's Austin robotaxi fleet has transitioned to fully unsupervised operation one year after launching supervised rides, with the safety monitor removed as of June 22, 2026. The fleet now covers the greater Austin metro including suburbs and key corridors, operating modified Model Y units on FSD Unsupervised software, while Cybercab production ramps at Giga Texas to eventually replace the current fleet.
