Tesla and Waymo set up competing robotaxi operations in Charlotte

Tesla moved 14 Cybercabs and 14 Model Y vehicles to Charlotte, North Carolina, and posted a job listing for an AI Safety Operator to oversee ride-hailing data collection there. This marks the first multi-car batch of Cybercabs deployed outside Texas and signals the company's preparation to enter Charlotte as a new market, where it will compete directly with Waymo's existing testing operations.
